Top Dog-Friendly Cafes in London: Pawsitive Cafe
On a street in Notting Hill, London, is one of the most gorgeous dog-friendly cafes I have ever had the pleasure of visiting. Pawsitive Café was designed by its owner, Alicia, with mental well-being at the forefront, and that shows throughout the space.
I was lucky enough to be invited last year by Different Dog, who had chosen Pawsitive Café as the location for their ambassador party. When they asked me to photograph the event, I jumped at the chance as I had wanted to visit Pawsitive Café for a long time.
As soon as you enter the space, it radiates positivity and love for dogs and their relationship with their humans. From the pastel walls, affirmations are placed throughout, and the homage to her dog, Domino, is seen in the spotted walls and the cafe exterior. And the food... woah, the food. The whole place is an aesthetic dream.
DOG-FRIENDLY MENU:
Looking for a place where your pup can dine in style alongside you? Pawsitive Café offers an extensive dog-friendly menu of mouthwatering options, including chicken pot pie, beef meatballs, and courgette, as well as an incredibly beautiful stack of pancakes with yoghurt and fruits. I would argue that there aren't many places in London that are more delicious for your dog to enjoy a culinary adventure with you.
HUMAN MENU:
Traditional Malaysian food is fused with English classical Brunch options, and the human food (and the mocktails) are are delicious as they look.
THE EXPERIENCE:
One of the first things I noticed inside Pawsitive Café was the little cubby spaces built into the benches for the dogs to have some privacy and room while enjoying their lunch. I don't think I have come across a feature like this in a dog-friendly venue before, and as someone who puts dogs' comfort at the forefront, I appreciated seeing that this was thought about while designing the cafe.
Alicia, the owner, set out to create a place people can visit to physically improve mental health challenges, such as stress and anxiety. Her vision was a place where people could be around dogs and feel a sense of calm. You can even order therapeutic activities, such as painting by numbers, to your table to relax during your visit. Bringing your laptop and working from the cafe is encouraged, and I couldn't think of a better place to settle down to work, in the presence of good vibes and good puppers.
VENUE RENTAL AND EVENTS:
Pawsitive Café is the perfect place to throw a party for your pup and their friends. When you book, the team will decorate the cafe, order a birthday cake, and even sing your bestie happy birthday! And thanks to the ball pit and climbable areas in the back of the cafe, the parties are reminiscent of the fun parties attended by children!
They also host events of their own quite often, so I recommend following them on social media to stay up to date with what's on!
FROM THE OWNER:
My dog is not just my dog. My dog is my happiness, my inspiration, my sanity and my world.
