What to expect after you enquire:
-
You’ll get a personal reply from me (Amie). If you’re happy to share, I’d love a photo of your dog so I can put a face to the name. I’ll answer any quick questions and send links to my Product Guide and Session Guide so you can browse at your own pace before...
-
We’ll have a consultation to tailor the session to your dog. We’ll chat locations or backdrop colours, comfort levels (reactive/shy/elderly), and what you’d love to do with your images at home.
Zoom is great for screen-sharing options, phone is absolutely fine too.
Final decisions for your photographs do not need to be made at this session, it exists for you to tell me all about your dog, let me know which of my images made you want ones of your own, and help you decide on artwork options that suit you and you and your pet. This all helps me with suggesting locations as well! There’s no homework - just bring your ideas (and treats for your dog, if they’ll be with you!).
-
Outdoors or studio, we go at your dog’s pace with plenty of sniff breaks and tasty snacks.
I am known for my methods of partnering my knowledge of dog behaviour and positive training methods with my photography, so dog need ever be left behind.
Most dogs remain on lead (I include lead removal in retouching). Weather looking wild? We reschedule at no cost.
-
At a private image reveal session, you’ll view 15–20 lovingly retouched photographs and choose what you love - no pressure, no minimum spend.
Most clients invest around £800 on their artwork; sessions include a 12×10" matted print and matching social-sized digital image.
Additional digitals and wall art are available if you want them.

“Photoshoot day was fun - the dogs were totally not prepared for the experience and got overly anxious and reactive. Amie was just superb - she was super calm and took control of the entire situation and got the dogs and us working the way she wanted.”
“Amie was referred to us by a friend who saw her work at a show. We looked her up and was blown away by her photos - we’d been thinking of getting something done for our two pups and her style of photography just suited us. She was incredibly attentive to detail, what we wanted, what the dogs were like, their personalities and gave us a lot of information to prepare ourselves. We wanted the shoot at a place that meant something to us and the dogs and she was incredibly accommodating. The photos are just beyond stunning - they capture our dogs beautifully and really are quite something.”

FAQs
-
I have photographed SO many dogs in London whose owners think they can’t stay still long enough. Guess what? Every time I’ve finished a session with a skeptical human, their dog has completely surprised them every time. I have a tried and trusted range of tricks up my sleeve to help get the best out of your dog. AND the best images are never the ones of them sitting completely still. Trust my process!
-
The safety of a dog in front of my camera in London - as well as others around us - is the utmost priority during our portrait sessions. I will NEVER insist that your dog is off-lead in any context. Believe it or not, most of the dogs in my images were safely on a lead in the original image! With a little retouching fairy dust, you would never know.
-
There are a couple options here if you’d still love to have your reactive dog photographed in London but aren’t sure on the best method. We can choose a quiet location early in the morning to minimise any dog-dog interaction or if it is a major concern for you then a studio session in a private space such as your own home could be the way to go. Discuss this with me in more detail during a pre-booking chat to get the best advice.

Let’s be honest, the weather in London can be unpredictable at best. I always try to encourage us to proceed with a shoot even if it’s raining a little bit - there are always some amazing atmospheric images to be had. However, I always keep an eye on the weather forecast the night before and if it gets out of hand or looks to be a total washout we can absolutely reschedule.

I typically present 15–20 carefully retouched images at your gallery reveal. Your session includes one 12×10″ fine-art matted print plus its matching social-resolution file for sharing online.
If you would like digital files, these are available to purchase. Additional wall art, prints, and digital files are purchased separately, and digital file collections start at £425. They are detailed on page 13 of The Product Guide.
When purchased, your digital files are supplied in high resolution, fully retouched, and carefully colour-calibrated so you can print them yourself with confidence. And every product in my catalogue - whether it’s a wall art or print - always comes with the matching social-resolution version of the same image, ready for you to share online with friends and family.
