Hi, I’m Amie and in all honesty I’d much rather be talking about your dog than myself but let’s give this a go.

I’m a dog photographer, dog-owner and all-round dog enthusiast who lives and shoots in London. I love capturing lasting memories and authentic moments of our capital’s dogs and I absolutely cannot wait to meet yours.

The Real Reason I do What I do

Shenna. Solo. Flick. Elphie. Jersey. Oscar. Theo.

There hasn’t been a single day in my entire life that I haven’t shared with a dog, and I hope there never will be. If you’re reading this, chances are you have your own list of dogs who have touched your life in their own special way.

Those named above helped me through some of my most difficult times and they have absolutely no idea. Shenna and Solo were childhood friends of mine, shaping my first interactions with dogs and helping me understand that they are more than just pets, they are our chosen family.

There are, however, two dogs whose effect on my life has been so profound they have shaped the dog photographer and dog advocate that I am today:

OSCAR THE JACHSHUND

He guided me through one of the toughest periods of my life and was so strong for such a little dude. Although he had his problems with fear and reactivity, he was so full of love for us at home.

Being the source of trust for Oscar was key: I was his safe space. He’s solely responsible for developing my understanding of dogs facing similar issues. He became the reason I got into dog photography and became such a strong advocate for and champion of fearful and reactive dogs in particular.

When I was first learning how to photograph, I was never of a good enough skill level to capture images of him that I thought were good enough. To this day I wish I’d learned how to take good pictures much earlier on in his life so I’d have some extra special ones of him to be super proud of now. .

Losing Oscar was… there are no words. His passing made me look at my own life in a way I never had before. His impact was so strong that I quit my job to become a dog walker, spending time with dogs that others wouldn’t want to walk on account of their fearfulness, reactivity or advanced age.

THEO THE MINPIN

The dog I’d named before I’d ever even met her. Where Oscar changed the way I looked at reactive dogs, Theo has changed the way I’ve looked at the world.

When I brought Theo home for the first time I understood how little I had known about dogs, despite loving them every single day of my life. Although Theo was so different from Oscar in many ways, they became best friends and - more importantly - gave each other confidence. He showed her that watching fireworks out of the window wasn’t scary at all when you were comfortable in bed, and she taught him things I never could, like how to play confidently in the park.

Through working very closely with a behaviourist friend to train Theo, I learned so much about the importance of nurturing a dog’s abilities and uniqueness with a mixture of knowledge, kindness and patience - a philosophy that I carry with me as a dog photographer every single day.

Theo has been the driving force behind my development as a dog photographer - we’ve explored all corners of London together, and she’s taught me how to see London from a dog’s eye view. My little muse.

I am dedicated to my mission to ensure as many of London’s dogs as possible have a positive, enjoyable experience with photography. I continuously improve my knowledge of science-backed, positive training methods, and dog behaviour. In 2026 I intend to become a registered Accredited dog trainer - I am that devoted to my way of partnering training and photography to create a fun, relaxed experience for every single dog I meet.

That dedication is also extended to you. The most significant part of your dog’s story. I am here for you, every step of the way, to ensure neither you nor your dog is ever confused and left wondering what to do. If you would like to get to know each other a little better, or ask me anything at all while you consider booking a photography session for you and your dog, you can do so by:

MY DOG PHOTOGRAPHY PHILOSOPHY

If you look through my portfolio and think, “My dog would never be able to pose like that”, then I’m ABSOLUTELY the dog photographer for you.

I believe so strongly in the philosophy of ‘no dog left behind’. It’s that simple for me because I haven’t yet met a dog that I have not been able to understand and communicate with to get the very best out of them. I feel so passionately about creating a culture of inclusivity around dogs, especially dogs who are reactive, unwell, older, or considered by some (but not me!) to be “difficult”.

In photographing all different personalities and quirks of dogs, I aim to surprise you with awe-inspiring images of your own dog that you never thought were achievable. My goal is for you to leave your portrait session thinking, “I cannot believe my dog was able to pose like that!” and to view your session images completely filled with reverence for your dog.

“The way Amie harnesses light and detail while capturing stunning candid shots in the most beautiful way, is a gift.”

From start to finish, Amie was amazing, super chilled and really kind. The photoshoot was arranged to take place outdoors in one of Molly’s favourite parks, so there were lots of distractions! Amie and Naomi were super patient and used their experience to find potential good spots to photograph Molly, making sure Molly was comfortable throughout. The session felt like a fun morning stroll in the park rather than a photoshoot!

a few things about mE…

  • Vegan junk food, fictional crime thriller books, comic books, video games and binge-watching TV and Movies. Oh, and building gaming PCs.

  • I can be found hanging out with Theo. She is very explorative and enjoys being outside, so we spend a huge amount of time exploring together. She accompanies me to sample coffee and vegan cakes at dog-friendly spots around London, and we’ve recently gotten really into our new hobby of cataloguing the local wildlife and birds of London.

  • An author. When I was a teenager, I would spend a lot of time at home and in corners of my school writing poetry and fiction. For years I thought that is what I wanted to do, and some of my poetry has even been published.
